GLA incorporates high design quality, preservation of open spaces and innovative environmental protection while meeting the goals of our clients and project owners.
Public
In an artistic effort to bring beauty to the landscape, GLA considers how public projects affect the landscape and how a well-planned facility will enhance a visitor’s experience. GLA participates in the development and revitalization of neighborhoods, towns and cities by preparing site plans that ensure large-scale projects fulfill their proper role. We plan the recreational developments of national, state, county and municipal parks. We collaborate on the planning of highways and parkways to provide attractive and efficient means for traffic circulation. We also work on schools, colleges, public buildings, and botanical gardens as well as historic sites and memorials.

The landscape architects at GLA excel in their ability to read the natural landscape, re-interpret it and refine it for visitors. Residential
The goal of residential grounds and garden design is to obtain the desirable unity between outdoor and indoor living spaces. GLA landscape architects, in appreciation for time and seasons, select plant materials to create year round color, texture and interest. Hardscaping elements from outdoor rooms with formal or aesthetic detailing. In addition to how the spaces will be used, we seek to preserve positive site elements such as trees, ledges and water features while enhancing our client’s properties through the introduction of artistic contours, plantings, pools, overlooks, terraces and pergolas.
