GLA PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL LANDSCAPE SHOW Cairo, Egypt Wil Gates
From 15 through 17 June, 2009, GLA displayed a booth at Cairo’s first International Garden and Landscape Exhibition. The show was held in the Cairo International Exhibition Center and marked the first time commercial and residential landscape interests were separated from the yearly agricultural industry show. GLA was one of two landscape architectural firms to exhibit. The other was from Korea. The booth was designed by Ashley Iannuccilli, LA, of GLA’s US office and Norhan Fawzi, Senior Landscape Designer of GLA’s Cairo office. The booth featured a mural showing one of GLA’s premier projects and a large flat screen TV running a continuous loop of GLA’s projects both in Egypt and the US. Wil Gates, Chairman of GLA was joined in staffing the booth by Mohamed Morsi and members of the Cairo office Naglaa Sobhy, Nourhan Fawzi, Eriny Guerges, Ahmed Adel, Aliaa Sabri The booth erection and dismantling was handled by Ali Khedr. At the opening of the show, GLA’s booth was visited by Egypt’s Minister of Environment Eng. Maged George, who was given a GLA brochure.
