GLA takes part in the completion of the World War Two Memorial in Providence

November 11, 2007 marked Gates, Leighton & Associates, Inc.'s completion of a World War Two Memorial in Providence. GLA not only designed the memorial, but organized the pro-bono efforts to complete the landscaping. The project was some six years in the making, but the big push for completion by a Veterans Day dedication took less than two months. Over twenty landscape industry companies responded to GLA's request for help in honoring the state's WW II veterans. GLA Chairman Wil Gates said "The extraordinary volunteering of materials, machinery, labor, and executive supervision evidenced a truly patriotic labor of love in honoring 'the Greatest Generation' ".
