Arthur Eddy promoted to Vice President of Administration at GLA

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (July 2, 2007): Arthur J. Eddy has been promoted to vice president of administration at Gates, Leighton & Associates. Inc. (GLA), an international landscape architecture and planning firm headquartered in East Providence, R.I.
In his new capacity, Mr. Eddy is responsible for directing GLA’s operations and supervising the firm’s main office in East Providence, RI and satellite office in Boothbay, Maine.
“Our company has experienced significant growth over the past few years, in terms of geographic scope of work and the introduction of talented designers and staff members to our team,” states Donald Leighton, GLA president. “Arthur’s background and skills enable us to move forward with strategic confidence as we usher in a new and exciting chapter in our firm’s history.”
Mr. Eddy joined GLA in 2005 as a landscape designer, responsible for working on specifications and cost estimates and assisting with design development for GLA’s commercial and residential clients throughout New England and Egypt.
Previously, Mr. Eddy was employed at William D. Warner Architects and Planners in Exeter, RI. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Rhode Island (Kingstown, RI), where he earned a bachelor of landscape architecture. He resides in Coventry, RI.
